How do I schedule an appointment with a doctor at Sunshine Hospitals?
For an appointment you can get in touch with our international patients help desk through phone, fax, email or letter. They will attend to you exclusively and address your personal, cultural and travel-related needs. They will also arrange for medical consultations, treatments, cost estimates, interpretation services and assistance with travel arrangements.

Can I visit Sunshine Hospitals without a medical appointment?
We suggest you to schedule appointments prior to your arrival to avoid inconveniences and delays.
What information do I need to provide when making a medical appointment?
Please keep the following information at hand while making a medical appointment:
1. Your name (as in your passport)
2. Current address
3. Date of birth
4. Brief explanation of your medical problem, and
5. Your desired appointment date
What are the medical records or documents that I need to carry with me and what language should they be in?
Please carry all relevant information on your medical condition including
1. X-rays
2. Medical history/records and
3. Current medication
4. Prescription document with names of medication
Preferably your medical records need to be in English. Please ensure to have them translated into English, and don’t forget to bring the original ones along with you for review by our specialist.
Can I carry my medication along with me to India?
You may carry your medication along with you to India. But they should be clearly titled with the common name of the medication, and if asked by the authorities, you should be able to explain to them that they are being brought for personal consumption due to your medical condition. Always carry your prescription to facilitate quicker clearance.
Where will my family stay when they accompany me for my medical treatment?
When you make an appointment with Sunshine’s International Help Desk, please inform them that your family will accompany you (with numbers) and they will make essential lodging arrangements.
Will I be able to converse with the hospital staff? Can I get help with communication?
English is a popular language in this part of the world and most of them understand, read and write the language. However, if you do not speak English, the hospital can arrange for interpretation services to help you communicate better with the hospital personnel.
If I need a blood transfusion in India, how can I be sure that the blood I will be receiving is safe?
Sunshine Hospitals meets stringent safety standards and embraces safe and regulated blood practices for testing, handling, distribution and transfusion.
How soon can I come for treatment Sunshine Hospitals?
The process can take a minimum of 2 weeks depending on the type of treatment you are looking for.
What international airport is the closest to Sunshine Hospitals?
The majority of our international patients arrive to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad which is only 30 minutes away from our hospital.
Will anyone receive us at the airport?
Our International Patient Coordinator will arrange for your airport pick-up and drop-off. Just provide us with your flight details.
