Exercise Tolerance Test (Stress Test)

The patient is made to walk on a treadmill or pedal on an exercise bicycle while the electrical activity of the heart is measured with an Electrocardiogram (ECG), and blood pressure readings are taken. This non-invasive procedure is carried out to evaluate and indicate coronary artery disease by understanding the patient’s exercise tolerance and the heart’s response to your body’s increased need for oxygen. The test does not involve any special preparations.
