Head Trauma is a major speciality within Neurosurgery division. Road traffic accidents (RTA) and falls from heights are some of the major causes for head trauma. And these occur in neonatals and infants too! Typically, when parts of the head like skull are experience severe fractures or become open, surgical repair is required.
At Sunshine, our team is fully equipped to take care of all types of head injury across all age groups of patients. The monitoring for head injury patients is performed by intracranial pressure monitoring probe. Also, to extend uninterrupted care to the affected by head injuries, we have a dedicated ICU manned by intensivist round the clock.
